PayNaira came to us drowning in spreadsheet exports. Their merchants — over 6,000 small businesses across Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt — had no self-service window into settlements, chargebacks or fee breakdowns. Every reconciliation question became a support ticket, and the support queue was growing 30% month on month.
We engineered a real-time merchant dashboard on a headless WordPress core with a React front layer. Settlement data streams in through webhook ingestion with signature verification, is normalised into a Redis-backed cache layer, and renders in under 200ms even during Friday-evening transaction spikes. Paystack split payments, Termii OTP-secured payout changes and CSV/PDF statement exports shipped in the first release.
Ninety days after launch, support tickets tagged “settlement enquiry” dropped 72%, and PayNaira onboarded its first two enterprise merchants citing the dashboard as a deciding factor.
