Project Overview

The Watch King is a premium e-commerce platform designed for watch enthusiasts and collectors looking for high-quality, authentic timepieces. The goal was to build a visually striking, high-converting digital storefront that balances a luxury aesthetic with cutting-edge conversational commerce features.

Instead of building just another standard online store, the focus was heavily placed on customer engagement, trust signals, and removing friction from the buying journey.

Key Features & Implementation

• AI-Powered Conversational Commerce: Integrated a custom “Shop with AI” conversational assistant. This feature allows users to chat in real-time, ask for personalized recommendations (e.g., “Show me luxury watches”), and view/add items directly to their cart straight from the chat interface.

• Conversion-Optimized UI/UX: Developed using Tailwind CSS to ensure a fully responsive, pixel-perfect layout. The store implements real-time scarcity indicators (“Only 2 left”), interactive flash sale countdown timers, and clean grid displays to drive urgency and boost sales velocity.

• Frictionless Checkout & Local Optimization: In addition to a seamless mini-cart drawer and a secure Paystack payment gateway, an “Order on WhatsApp” option was integrated directly on product pages. This serves as a high-converting fallback channel tailored to local market preferences.

• Seamless Onboarding: Implemented a secure and frictionless Social Auth (Google Sign-In) to eliminate the usual friction associated with manual account creation during checkout.
